The MacLean Guest House

We had a great experience at the MacLean guest house. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly and the location was ideal to get into town or access the train and hiking spots! Would recommend for any travelers into Fort William.

We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us around when we arrived. Our family room was on the top floor with lovely views of Fort William. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean,as was the bathroom. The room had plenty of plug sockets,a TV, and a fridge in the wardrobe, and we were provided with plenty of towels and posh tea and coffee. The beds were memory foam and super comfy. It was very hot in the room, but a fan was provided. Traffic noise was constant, as was noise from other guests downstairs but nothing to do with the owners whatsoever. We would definitely highly recommend staying here and we look forward to visiting again soon Thank you

We recently stayed at The McLean Guest House on a tour of The Highlands and 5 stars gladly awarded. The room was very modern, 1 double bed & 1 single bed exactly as requested with a modern bathroom, an actual working tv & shock horror, WORKING WIFI!! The guest house is practically over the road from the train station which is handy for PotterHeads like my partner who may wish to see the steam train roll in & out of Fort William and the room was so warm and cosy all night long. The windows are modern & open with ease. The staff also made it clear there was no meals, accommodation only which was appreciated. Barely a thing wrong here and we'd love to stay again soon.

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and spacious rooms. Bed was soft and comfortable. Location is unbeatable. Within walking distance to the train station and high st with all the shops and restaurants. Would happily stay again.

Clean, comfortable and inviting; a wonderful rest at the end of our West Highland Way walk. Brandy went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Our bed was large and comfortable, the sheets crisp and spotless. The shower was also immaculate with plentiful hot water. The house itself is an easy stroll to downtown and very close to the train station.

A beautifully clean and comfortable guest house 10 minutes walk away from Fort William train station! We need a place to stay for a night before we climb Ben Nevis and this guest house is in a great location to get to from a train station. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious with coffee, tea, and fridge to put food in. Lovely hot shower! We checked out early to start the hike and left our suitcases at the accommodation for a day. Our train out of Fort William was in the evening so we came back to pick up suitcases and walked back to the station roughly 10 minutes walk. The lady at check in and check out was super friendly and helpful with local knowledge of where to get taxi and food and the area around Ben Nevis! Definitely recommend this place for a stay if you go to Fort William! A comfortable bed and so good to sleep in!

We stayed for 2 nights at this guesthouse. It was a last minute booking and we arrived late in the evening. Brandi was exceptionally warm and welcoming. She was proactive with our needs and prompt in her response. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. No complaints with the shower. Although there is no food availability on site, Brandi pointed out a few local restaurants at walking distance. The guesthouse also has cutlery available in the reception area if you choose to order food online for delivery. Overall, a comfortable stay with good hospitality from the hosts, and highly recommended. Only negative was the proximity to the road which meant traffic noise (although it was not loud enough to be bothersome).
